(One for the language buffs) Faroese has a letter, Ð/ð, which comes from Icelandic, but causes no end of problems in Faroese as it isn't pronounced. Consequently, people just stick it in anywhere. This football goal which has been painted on to a wall down by the harbour is a famous example (The word for 'goal' is mál).
