I spent the whole of today - yes, a Saturday - in the library. And I think this may be one of my most artistic photos actually (although clearly staged, because I'm not left-handed).

I haven't had Chinese food in a millennium, so it was great to do that tonight. And how much the gourmet chef am I? (I was originally going to have this photo but it didn't look quite as appetising on screen).

I'm a massive fan of those stupid films like Airplane and Hot Shots. You know, those really stupid ones, which get a little more stupid every time you see them. Well, a friend who also likes really stupid films, recommended these stupid films, which I'll be able to watch when I get my next batch of work done!

Today we had actual Ikea meatballs with actual Ikea jam. Does it get any better than this?

This is the founder of my university. Not a statue, or a model, but the actual founder. Sitting on a chair in a glass case, just as he requested in his will. Having said that it's not his actual head. No, that would be weird, so that's kept in a vault somewhere.

I'm currently having real difficulty with a pain in my mouth, so when I was in town with my Dad, we went to get some stuff for it. I'm actually really glad he was with me, because I almost picked up Anusol, and that's something quite different.

I'm getting majorly stressed with uni work at the moment. But today I left my desk for a minute and came back to find this there, which was nice!

It was great to meet up with Argentine Ana, who's back from Hong Kong for a few days :)

The flag flying half-mast at Australia House in London. Thoughts and prayers are with the Australians amid the horrifying stories coming from Victoria. It's strange to think that a town my sister took me to last year just isn't there anymore.

Went to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button today. It was a good film, really it was, but nothing really happens. A woman I heard coming out of the cinema summed it up: 'That was good. I don't know if I'd recommend it though. I don't know if I'd see it again. I don't know whether there's enough time left in my life to watch it again.' I managed to get the hologram poster showing the old man and the baby at the same time. Impressed?

Oops. I had a feeling I was going to forget to take a photo today, so I just took this one (which summed up how I was feeling) in case I did forget - and then I did forget. But it's a beautiful photo all the same, so I don't mind.

There's a certain sense of pride that the only church on London's main shopping thoroughfare (first time I've used that word) is The Salvation Army.

What's the word for someone who gets really excited when they see that the latest DVD of Gavin and Stacey has Welsh subtitles?
