The new athletics track in Havn. It's a stunning setting, and is permanently open for anyone to jog around the track. I haven't done that yet...

On a Tuesday I have to rush home to catch Malcolm in the Middle ('Miðlingurin Malcolm'), as it's the only show that comes with Faroese subtitles! And it's pretty funny actually!

Apparently there's a Fish Expo coming to Tórshavn. We're all very excited.

Fortunately, the rain held off for a few minutes as the scouts had their end-of-camp barbecue and sing-along.

Man, it's hot today - and in the Faroes! I'm beginning to think the sun always shines on my first day back, only to be followed by rain every other day after that...

Strolling round Copenhagen is quite a nice way to spend a bank holiday, although it was REALLY hot, I was dressed for the Faroes and everything was shut. But other than that, I had fun :)

I finally got my 50p! (see here).

Decided to go shopping in London, but bought nothing :(

I left my shaver in the Faroes, and now I'm sporting a huge beard. But this photo's quite dark and that may not be evident...

The Easter Bunny did visit! This was waiting for me when I got home.

At Copenhagen Airport... I was considering going into the centre of Copenhagen, but the Airport brought it to me, so I didn't need to :)

A band concert on the island of Vágar in the Western Faroes. Who'd'a thought there were seven brass bands in the Faroes (plus us!). And the standard was really high. These are the big boys from Havnar Hornorkestur, Tórshavn.

A one-off Friday night treat. Why not?

This may be my all-time favourite mitchenstein365 photo. It has everything - a beautiful rainbow, rain clouds, a waterfall, grass-roofed houses, an island in the background, the sea and a ferry - and you can ever see me taking the photo.

Tonight we had the visit of a Norwegian accordion band :)

The big football derby between the two Tórshavn teams (B36 and HB). Good game! And if you arrive at half-time, as we did, it doesn't cost anything :)

Waiting to surprise someone on their birthday and trying to stay out of the rain is hard...

May the first and all the flags are out - and this is one of the very few reminders that the Faroes are technically part of Denmark. There's an area of Danish state institutions (the house of the Danish Representative in the Faroes, the court house, etc.) which all flew the flag of Denmark today (see it?). I'm afraid I don't know what this building is, but it was the easiest one to photograph...
